Caroline Young

Hi, my name is Caroline. I have worked with children of different ages in various childcare and educational settings for over 20 years but my passion is early years and I have a 1 st class honours degree in Early Childhood Studies which I completed in 2021.

I am very interested in children’s mental health and the impact this has their learning and development.

Outside of work, I enjoy the great outdoors, exploring and walking with my dog Oscar. I have three children, Lewis, Grace and Zac and we are a big football family so my weekends are usually spent standing in a field cheering them on!

I look forward to providing fun and stimulating opportunities for your children to thrive whilst at Kids Country and working with you as parents to ensure you are confident, happy and content with the care your child receives.

Freddie The Pony

Kids Country Day Nursery, Over Peover Outstanding Childcare For Knutsford And The Surrounding Areas

My name is Freddie and I have been part of the Kids’ Country Team since 2015.  I love my time at Kids’ Country as they have the most amazing outdoor space…and I even have a special little area of my own right by the children’s play area so I can see them laughing and having fun.  Spending time outside with all of our little people is definitely my favourite thing to do (well, that and eating carrots!).

The children often help to take care of me by brushing and washing my coat and lucky for me they love to feed me too…. Mmmmm carrots, grass, hay, lots of yummy treats.  They certainly do make good little helpers!

When I am not at Kids’ Country I like to spend my time in my second home, at the stables at New Hall Estate.  I get to relax with the big horses and I even get to watch them playing Polo too.  The children from Kids’ Country come and join us sometimes and get to practice their own polo skills.

How would your best friend describe you in three words?

Happy, Sociable and Hungry.

Where is your favourite place you have travelled to?

My son has attended Kids Country for 3 years. We have always felt he was very well cared for and happy. The team is... consistent which really makes a difference. It’s nice to have so many familiar, friendly faces who know him. Our son has thrived in his time at Kids Country. We have lots of information about his progress and next steps at home and at nursery. This is through parents meetings, face to face or by phone, reports on Famly and conversations at pick up. Throughout the pandemic, communication was strong and our son was welcomed back with care, whilst clear procedures were in place keeping him and the other children safe. We feel that all of the staff in our son's room know his likes and dislikes and his personality. He is always really happy to go to nursery. He loves all of the ladies in his room and has lots of friends. We have always been pleased with the care Thomas has had and the opportunities he has been given.read more

My son Rori started at Kids country on 4th April 22, from the moment we stepped foot through the door we both felt... relaxed and happy. All the staff are so welcoming, happy, friendly and most of all professional. Rori is at Nursery full time so it’s very important to me that he’s settled and happy and he most definitely is. Just recently we’ve had some news that Rori has some mobility issues which he has to have physio for. When I made the Nursery supervisor Diane aware of this she has been nothing but supportive, offering to help with the physio and help Rori with his development, this level of support and care has helped us to cope a little better with what is a very difficult situation. The food and menus are so varied and very nutritious and since being at nursery he’s come on lots with his food. They are very much an outdoor nursery which Rori loves and we love that he gets the fresh air.
I couldn’t wish for a better place for our son to be.

Both of my children have attended Kids' Country and journeyed through each room. They have always happily gone into... nursery and had a fantastic time whilst there. I can see a huge difference as they transition in their speech and learning. Both children have been encouraged to shine in their own strengths

and it has been lovely to see the support from staff.
The outdoor facilities are what drew me to Kids' Country and being able to participate in forest school at such a young age.
Thank you team Kids' Country!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kids Country. My little boy started here a few months ago and I cannot believe the... difference in him already. Prior to going he was very timid and would never leave my side yet since starting here he has become so much more independent and confident. His speech and language has developed so much and he comes home telling me what he has learnt and singing songs he has learnt there. Staff here are fantastic and were more than happy for me to keep ringing up to check how he is, now I don't bother as I know he absolutely loves it. Staff really went the extra mile to help him settle and put my mind at rest that he is absolutely fine. This nursery has fantastic facilities you must have a look if you are considering this nursery for your child.read more

We absolutely love Kids’ Country Day Nursery! Our son and daughter have had the best time there and absolutely... flourished! The staff are fantastic and it’s so reassuring to know that your children are in such safe hands. It’s clear how much they care about the well-being and happiness of the children. The facilities are excellent - it’s wonderful to have such a large outside space that is utilised so well. Our daughter loves her weekly Forest School sessions! The management are brilliant and are always happy to help. We are so appreciative and feel so lucky that our children attend such an outstanding nursery.read more

All we can say is our son has flourished during the past 2-3 months at Kids' Country. His speech, behaviour, manners... and social skills have all excelled. He walks in extremely excited and comes out with a big smile on his face. Whatever the team at KC do throughout the day, they do it right. He even eats the odd vegetable now!!!
We cannot thank the staff enough, the managers and team members have all gone above and beyond. Thank you Kids' Country for your dedication and commitment throughout this extremely difficult COVID time. When others were falling apart, you stayed strong and honoured your pledge to not only help ‘your’ children but other children who needed help and were struggling. You probably don’t realise the positive impact this has had on the local community and our family. We can’t thank the manager and staff at KC enough. Our little boy will be leaving you in September to start school but you certainly will never be forgotten within our household.

Both of our children attend Kids Country and have done for the last couple of years. It has become a very special place... to all of us. The children absolutely love going and for me as a mother that is all I could wish for. The bonds that they have made with the staff and other children is wonderful to see and it is highlighted in the way their confidence and development has grown in leaps and bounds. The setting of the nursery is fabulous and the children are always exploring the outdoors which was very important to us when moving from Australia. The team almost feel like family and I have absolutely no reservations when leaving my precious people with them as I know they will be cared for to the highest standard. My eldest will be leaving in September to go to primary school and I know he will miss Kids Country a great deal. I cannot praise them highly enough.read more

We love Kids Country but more importantly our little boy loves it. In the morning he is so happy pointing at the door... to get in then once in waddling over to the breakfast table to enjoy breakfast with all his friends & Debs. He doesn't even look back when I leave. When I collect him in the evenings as soon as he spots me he comes over, up into my arms for a big kiss. The girls are great. It's great how they tell you what he's eaten to what they've done in the day, including any cheeky moments. We are so pleased we picked KC and recommend it to everyone Xread more
