My name is Ruth and I am the Prep School Room Supervisor at Kids’ Country. Since being a young girl, I have always wished to work with children and followed this through by completing a Primary Education degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, gaining a BA (Hons) with Qualified Teacher Status. Following this, I gained lots of experience teaching children of various ages and abilities. Last year I decided that I wanted to gain more experience and understanding in the Early Years and decided to pursue my interest.
Since starting my journey at Kids Country, I have thoroughly enjoyed preparing engaging and creative activities for the children and watching them learn and develop over time. This is what makes my job so rewarding and I thrive off every day
being completely different to another. I began at the nursery as a practitioner and have progressed to become Deputy Supervisor in Grand Voyagers and now Room Supervisor in Prep School. I have enjoyed using my teaching experience to incorporate maths and phonics into the daily routine and helping to prepare the children for school as much as I can.
Outside of nursery, I love to spend time with my friends and family, whether it may be going out for some delicious food or enjoying some retail therapy. I live with my fiancée and we love to spend our weekends visiting different places and planning our wedding! We love animals and enjoy looking after our 2 pet rabbits, Buster and Simba!
